Hi there, my name is Chad Stettler, and I specialize in Individual, as well as Marriage & Family Counseling. I also have training in Substance Use Counseling. One of my favorite joys is helping people who are struggling in some area of life. I too have been helped and supported by others, and I know how valuable others can be in providing support and healing during difficult times.
During counseling, I like to focus on restructuring troubling thoughts and beliefs, processing difficult and painful emotions (especially those that affect how one sees others and one’s self), and developing skillsets that offer better strategies for coping. I look at patterns of interactions or relating that create problems in relationships, as well as inner conflicts & Blind spots that create problems for individuals across life situations.
In Couples Therapy, I like to focus on communication skills, conflict resolution, connection & intimacy, enhancing shared experience, emotional comfort & support, as well as support in division of labor issues.
I also have training in Leadership Development & Coaching, as well as in Problem Solving Analysis. I have extensive knowledge and experience in Group Formation, Coaching, and Facilitation. I like to use a comfortable and engaging style of therapy. I am a licensed Pastoral Counselor (National Christian Counselors Association), and I obtained my License in 2006. I have have been married for 24 years, and have three children (two amazing boys, and a wonderful daughter). My wife and I have led a community group and taught Sunday School at our local Church which we have been attending for the past 15 years.
